BBYO
The LJCC is proud to sponsor B'nai Brith Youth Organization for grades 9-12. Birmingham's Magic City BBG (girls) and Mesch AZA (boys) chapters are part of the Cotton States Region. They are quite active locally and do a variety of projects involving fun, community service and education.
As a BBYO member, you will have the opportunity to participate in regional, national and international programs. BBYO is unique among Jewish youth organizations in two very important ways: It is open to Jewish teens of all denominations, and does not require Center or Temple membership; and it is youth-led. The chapters have the support of volunteer advisors and a Parent Advisory Board, but the programming and running of the chapters is done by you, the teens. Being involved in BBYO is an excellent way for you to learn leadership skills and to develop lifelong friends. Join the excitement!
