LJCC Summer Swim Team 2014
The LJCC Summer Swim Team is designed to best meet the goals of all involved. We strive to provide a variety of training and competitive opportunities to suit each swimmer’s needs.
It is our desire that each participant is challenged to reach his/her potential - It may be achieving a personal best time, mastering a difficult skill, conquering fears, or surviving disappointment. The process of achieving is as significant as the achievement itself.
A successful swim program results in the development of higher self-esteem, responsibility, self-motivation, goal setting and achievement, teamwork and sportsmanship among the participants.

• There is no discount if more than one child is swimming and diving because a discount is already received with swim/dive combo.
• There is no discount for swimmers of divers who only swim a portion of the season. Even if your swimmer/diver only swims/dives one month of the season, you must pay the full price.
Late Registration Policy: After May 20, we will continue to late-register swimmers and divers throughout the season. The fees increase by $25.00 per child, per sport. Registration is required at least 24 hours prior to a meet in order to participate; assuming late entries are even allowed at that particular meet.
Refund policy: Full refund if you cancel by Monday, June 4th. After this date refunds will be prorated. After the second meet of the season, you will no longer be eligible for a refund.

This is a Pre-Swim Team Program geared towards children at least 4 years of age or who can swim unassisted and need to improve stroke technique and build up endurance. Not to be confused with Group Swim Lessons. Skills will include: Proper Stroke Technique on Front & Back Crawl, Breathing Skills, and working on completing a full length of the pool (25 yds). We offer 4 one week sessions of Jr. J’s throughout the course of the summer. The cost for one week of Jr. J’s is $65.00. We recommend that each child take a MINIMUM of 2 weeks of Jr. J’s. (Please note: Once your child has completed Jr J’s, a swim coach will evaluate his/her skills. Some children may be ready to start Swim Team starting in the month of July. If this is something you are interested in, the cost to advance to swim team is $85.00)
Jr. J's will be offered the following weeks: May 27-30, June 2-6, June 9-13, June 16-20, June 23-27, July 7-11, July 14-17
STARTERS (AGES 4-7):These kids need to be able to swim 1 lap (25 yards) freestyle. They are swimmers just starting out and will be learning the basics of the 4 competitive strokes.
RACERS (AGES 5-11)Continuation of work on the 4 competitive stroke techniques, starts, turns, streamline and teaching a basic understanding of pace clock work.
SPRINTERS (AGES 9-15)Working on specific techniques to gain stroke refinement, building endurance through conditioning and personal improvement. Advanced use of the pace clock for interval training.
DOMINATORS (AGES 12-18)Continuation of stroke refinement, advanced drills in speed and personal improvement through goal setting and race strategy.
