The Summer of Seuss Camp is coming to the Cohn Early Childhood Learning Center this summer.  This eight week tour offers preschoolers a chance to enjoy a variety of recreational and educational summer experiences including cooking, camping, science, dance, music and more.  The activity filled days are designed to expand your child’s interests, teach skills and promote group cooperation through swimming, outdoor activities, creative movement, arts and crafts and Judaic programming.

Camp begins June 10^th and will conclude eight fabulous weeks later on August 2nd.  Each week will feature outdoor games, swimming, arts and crafts, and special activities for each age group. 

Summer Enrollment
Campers in K'Ton Ton have a choice of attending camp two, three or five days per week. Camp Olim is a five-day a week program. Camp withdrawals or additions must be in writing on the LJCC Drop/Add Request Form. There is a $10 administrative fee for each Drop/Add Form Processed. A full refund is given if notice is 4 or more weeks prior to start date. A 75% refund is given if notice is 3 or more weeks prior to start date. A 50% refund is given if notice is 2 or more weeks prior to start date. A 25% refund is given if notice is less than 2 weeks prior to start date. Once camp begins, no refund is given.

Enrollment Procedures
A camp registration card for each child plus $35 non-refundable registration fee must be completed prior to the child's entrance into a program at the Cohn Early Childhood Learning Center.

Parents must also provide the following:
• current record of all immunizations (Alabama blue form)
• medical form signed by the child's doctor
• swimming / wading permission form (children aged 18mos. & up)
• transportation permission form
• field trip permission form
• list of persons to whom child may be released
• any special instructions regarding health, visitation or any other pertinent information
• pre-admission record
• photo/video permission form
These documents are kept in the child's confidential file and are periodically checked by the Alabama Department of Human Resources and the Jefferson County Department of Health.

2013 Preschool Summer Camp Fees

Camp K'Ton Ton operates from 9:00a.m.- 1:00p.m. for children 18 months to four years old. The children bring a morning snack and a sack lunch daily (including a drink, if you wish). The four year olds have both free and instructional swim.

Camp Olim must be entering kindergarten, or turning five years old by September 1, 2012. This program runs five days a week only from 9:00a.m. - 3:30p.m. The children bring a morning snack and lunch daily (including juice if you wish): we provide an afternoon snack.  The children have both instructional swim and a free swim period. Plus, each week campers will participate in special activities like scavenger hunts, water relays, cooking projects and science experiments.

Infant Half Day Program
The Cohn Early Childhood Learning Center offers an infant half day program for children six to seventeen months of age during the eight weeks of summer camp from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
